Our special series with Christy Turlington Burns about mothers begins with Jennifer Garner and continues every day through Mother’s Day with Amy Schumer, Bono, Cindy Crawford and Spike Lee. We hope to raise awareness and contributions for Every Mother Counts through this series.

If you’re new here, a bit of background: I started my career in 2008 by writing books, four bestselling memoirs about different seasons of family life. Somewhere along the line, I started a TV show on PBS, now in its 7th season, interviewing personal heroes like Bryan Stevenson, Samantha Power, Steve Kerr and Melinda Gates. Lately, I’ve spent most of my time podcasting.
